We have a "Beware of Snakes" sign at our nearby 'pond' that causes me to spend more time looking for snakes than getting a shot. lol

It was about five feet long. Pretty creepy! At least the grass is cut there so I could see it pretty plainly, even though it was at daybreak.

No, I don't remember it having an odor. Are you sure that's not a myth or something? I'm going to do a search!
