Fresh greens at last
We had record-breaking snow this winter -- almost 135 inches -- which made life tough for the moose. We always lose a lot of them in heavy snow years.
Here is a survivor. I was told that this moose was pretty sick and almost didn't make it, but she's looking quite well now, taking in sunshine and vitamins. She wasn't bothered by my being here; she was too busy eating to care.
