Ideas for June contest wanted

Hi all,

What ideas do you have for the next contest? With the gap in contests, pretty much any topic is a potential one (except animals) for the next contest.

If you don't plan on submitting an entry, don't let that stop you from offering suggestions. What topic would you like to see photos of?

Weddings
Sun, sand and surf
Car trips

Whatever June means to people.

I like photos that seem to engage your other senses. "Smell" would be even tougher.

5. The power of the pattern

This subject occurred to me some time back, and I saved a couple of representational samples, none of which are my photographs.
This has possibilities in my mind.

6. A few things

Make sure it is something you like. The way I did that was to pick things I liked and then do a poll. For example I would not have enjoyed hosting if I had benn working with 30 still life photos. I made sure something like that didn't happen.

We did looking up a few years ago but we could always do it again.

If we do sunset please also allow sunrise.

I like patterns and sunrise/sunset and looking up, too.

Also I like roadside attractions--minor tourist spots.

June may be too close to summer.

7. Father Time

Things with an abundance of age. Could be something old and majestic or old and dilapidated. Whatever way individuals want to go with it. Plus Father's Day is in June.

9. Some ideas

1. Items that have been abandoned/discarded. (cars, appliances, whatever)
2. Graffiti/street art.
3. Ordinary items photographed in unusual ways.
4. Things that float/floating. (shown floating....people, balloons, boats, kites etc..)
5. Americana (images/scenes of artifacts/folklore/history etc. of America)
6. Lines (photos of sidewalks, roads/highways, lines intersecting, clothing,flowers stems, etc..)
7. Metal
8. Groups of 3 (anything, as long as it is a group of 3)
9. Macros
10. Layers (pancakes, cake, clothing, cloth, dirt/sediment, etc..)
