For your Thanksgiving viewing pleasure. Lotsa pics.

A stroll down Main Street. Thanksgiving: one of the few days sans (most) cars and tourists.

The times, they are a changing'. Goodman's is moving to Calistoga. Can no longer afford the St Helena rent.

And David is retiring.

Mike and his engines are still here, however.

Steves will probably always be here. (God, I hope so.)

It wouldn't bother me much if the Model Bakery left, though. (I long for the return of the Swiss Bakery.)

Then, to avoid some runners, I took a side street and ended up at the Catholic church, one of the few places open today.
This, I think, is a pepper tree. They used to be all over the valley, but this is the first I've seen in probably 20 years.

One of our community halls. Not The Native Sons, but can't remember which it is. I liked the juxtaposition of the cannon with the tree.

Really feels like another place and time.

Have you ever eaten at the Sherpa Kitchen? How's the food?
