I don't think I've ever seen a moose's teeth before. I was shooting in bursts, so I was kind of thrilled when I saw this shot among all the others.


edit: There's a great gourmet pizza restaurant/microbrewery here called "The Moose's Tooth." I wonder if they could make use of this photo. And don't you just love the white of his eye? Just a lucky shot.

I lived in AK during the 80s and used to call them cows on stilts--they are so tall. I'll never forget looking eye to eye at a bull moose from my snowmachine--yikes. I took off fast!! Hey Blue_in _AK --enjoy those mountains and fresh air!! I left part of my heart up there.

18. Funny you would mention the cows thing.

When I took my middle daughter down to the Lower 48 when she was about three and she saw cows for the first time, she kept pointing and saying, "Moose, moose." It's all she knew.
