Where's Solly Mack? She's going to go for the antenna. NV Whino Feb 2016 #1
Thanks. I found a phone pole for her too, in #1. Adsos Letter Feb 2016 #2
Darlene's antenna would have made a great entry for the Back to the Future theme this month! mnhtnbb Feb 2016 #3

Your cameras vision is better than mine on the highway. I can't believe that you got that second photo while a car was moving!

Well...benefits is probably too strong of a word.

Anyway, my wife does much of the driving until I get the surgery done. Gives me more time to notice things, and to fiddle with the camera.

The first image was taken with a NIKKOR DX lens, the 35mm f/1.8 G.
The second and third images were taken with a NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G that I use as a fixed telephoto on a D7100 body.

Being poor makes photography limited, but I still enjoy what I can do. And my camera is not the shabbiest, and it will have to do. Since I am not working anymore, I don't see great cameras and lenses in my future. Ah well, I am happy anyways.

I only listed the lenses because some people are interested in what equipment gets used. They weren't costly in terms of what lenses can fetch.

Even the best camera doesn't guarantee interesting images, or so I'm told. I think there is a lot to be said for simply taking lots and lots of photos, and learning what your camera is capable of, and focusing on its strong points. The image you posted for last month's contest, Lone tree in the fog, was iconic in my opinion, and better than anything I post here on a regular basis.

It has gotten to where I post a lot in here. I was concerned that maybe I was posting too much, but a couple of people said no, so I have continued to do it (I assume someone will let me know if I'm being a pill). Anyway, alfredo once advised me to take lots of photos. So I do that, and post them here hoping for constructive feedback. Sometimes I get it.

But I do think that if you don't get any comments, you will know that we are sick of seeing your photos...but I can't see any of us being sick of seeing photos. For me, it makes me think differently just seeing what other people are doing...I am not the most creative. (All my pictures on the walls have to be balanced and I have problems doing collages. Which is probably why I am an accountant and not an interior decorator!)

Thank you for the kind words about my photo. That is what keeps the spirit up.
