Greetings from Maryland...

...I'm here for a few weeks and am enjoying being around actual greenery for a change. Although it's both hot and humid, something I'm not used to. Oh well, got a few nice flower shots so far:

Asian lilies:

Daisy:

Foxglove:

And oddly enough, there was a cactus in bloom, as if to make me feel at home:

...working in Rockville. I've never been to either place before. Hoping to get into DC this weekend, I know there are lots of photo ops there.

and uncomfortable heat.
Cousins live in Kensington, and I spend much of my time in/near Rockville. Now, about 60 miles northwest, in the 'cooler' 'country.'

It is suppose to start cooling down a bit mid week. Depending on how long you are in Rockville you might get to see really hot & humid. Definitely do DC but also Baltimore. Fort Mc Henry, Fells Point etc. If you have transportation and the time Antietum Battlefield is hauntingly beautiful. Enjoy our state while here, but beware the green. It has been known to cause people to move from other wonderful states. (My mother broke my grandfather's heart when she left CO for MD/VA.)
