Seriously love the abstract black and white (um, buildings?)

I have about decided to go extreme in post processing. Too many cool things to do!

2. The one you mention is a sculpture in a public park pictured below

The top one is what the naked eye can't see as seen below. The windows behind the metal facade are exposed by manipulation.



A good example of what we can't see is below. This image was taken at dusk, it was the evening occupy tampa GA decided to take a city park. We knew the police were monitoring us. I was outside the park next to the police parking garage and kept hearing a buzzing noise and talking. I backed up and shot a few shots up in the direction of the noise. After processing it ended up being cops B/Sing and playing with their tasers.
I couldn't see any of the cops b/c it was so dark

That is just too cool that you figured out what the cops were doing using that method. And I like the black and white version of the sculpture a lot better than the color version!

I am sometimes amazed at what I find in photos that I did not notice at the time. I am reminded of that old arty film "Blow Up". That was made long before digital post processing of course.

I wouldn't mind having an extreme post processing contest sometime. I think we have avoided it because everyone doesn't have Photoshop, but Picasa is free and easy and a lot can be done with the new version. I know I am having a lot of fun with it.

We are having such a heat wave here, that unless I get up at dawn, it's a lot more fun manipulating images on the computer than it is stalking birds. I'm just not drawn to indoor still life photography, generally.
