It was just after straight up noon and the light was harsh, so the colors aren't good. I probably didn't help things in post-production.

I have had out my National Geographic Bird Book trying to identify photos I took of a hawk recently--never could decide--
so back to the book I just went. That white chest with the mottled belly is indicative of the juvenile red tailed hawk according
to the drawing in my book.
