Just a quick note, and clarification

We came down here to La Jolla to spend 10 days with our new granddaughter. The day after we got here our son-in-law, who had been feeling very poorly for the previous couple of weeks, went into heart failure. They did an EKG and Cardioversion on him, drained 15 pounds of fluid off of him, a bunch of other stuff, and are doing another procedure today to remove fluid from the pleura. He is not responding as well as hoped to any of this. He is 33, has a 6 month old daughter, and we could all use whatever good thoughts, prayers, whatever, from any of you who might feel so inclined.

I won't be posting for awhile because we're pretty much consumed with helping with things around here, and I will probably stay after my wife goes back home (I'm retired, and she still has 5 years to go). I have always found the Photo Group on DU to be the absolute best on the board (apologies to Pets, and Cooking) and I always enjoy logging in here.

So, no more spamming the group from me for awhile. I wish you all peace, and long life.

Good vibes to your entire family for a complete recovery of your son-in-law.

Your posts will be missed, but the reality of life takes precedence over all else. May he have a complete recovery.

This is a terrible situation. I am so glad that you will be able to stay for a while. That will be very important to them.
