Baltimore HonFest 2016

Some of you may (or may not remember) I posted images from the 2014 HonFest and today revisited the festival (in 97 degree heat...ick!)

History of HonFest:
Grab your boas and tease that beehive! It’s time for the 23rd Annual HONfest. HONfest symbolizes all the charm and goodwill that lies within the hearts of those who live, work, and play in Bawlmer. “Hon” the Bawlmer term of endearment short for “Honey”, embodies the warmth and affection bestowed upon our neighbors and visitors alike by the historic working women of Baltimore. HONfest is an annual celebration in honor of these women.

Here are a few images:

Two Hon's and Baltimore's finest

Tiny Hon who knew how to work it

Shot her 2 years ago... happy to have found her again

A very happy accident (shot from the hip, so focus on the eyes was quite accidental)

A very dapper gentleman

there *was* a breeze now and again but when it wasn't breezy and you couldn't find shade, it was like being in a vat of smelt. I got my first (and hopefully, last) sunburn of the summer.

but just love this. The photos are so happy and cool! Especially the darling little girl. And the police ladies are gorgeous.
