One motion, one still

This one was handheld at 1/10 sec. I love in camera stabilization.

I tried to lure this cat into coming a bit closer. It didn't work.

ALFREDO'S CAMERAS, 1980-1997, New Orleans, LA.

In 1980, I purchased an established business, Alfredo's Cameras, and added an instrument and model shop. Here I designed and built optical and electromechanical optical systems. I fabricated lenses, prisms, flats, mirrors, filters and reticules; and I prototyped systems including photographic lenses, astronomical cameras, telescopes, coelostats, heliostats, interferometers, spectrometers/monochromators and photo detectors (PMT/CCD). I also designed and fabricated the mechanical assemblies that formed a part of these systems. Over the years, I provided ophthalmic instrumentation for the Tulane and Louisiana State University Medical schools, astronomical instrumentation for the McDonald, Yerkes, Harvard and Williams College Observatories; and numerous special purpose cameras and optical devices for individuals and business.
