I am hosting the September Photo contest I am headed to Georgia this morning and will be into my hotel this evening... by then I expect to have a plethora of ideas for subject matter, from all of you, and will choose an appropriate one

...take such amazing shots. But I really love lurking into all those wonderful posts and the contests, and I'd like to thank you all!

As for an idea:
In Germany and other European countries September is the month of all sorts of annual and church fairs, Erntedankfest ("Thank god for the harvest", a bit different from your Thanksgiving) with farmer's markets and beerfests with the Oktoberfest in Munich (actually in the last two weeks of September!) beeing the most famous one. Maybe you would like to host a contest on markets and fairs and funrides?
