Yeah it doesn't show on my shiny new smart phone either. It did show when I checked it before posting using my laptop. I'm going to check it using my tablet. Yeah I'm a gadget junky Okay it is a broken link. I have to go back to the hell that is Photo bucket and try posting the link again.

I have a tablet too, in addition to my laptop and desktop, but I don't use the tablet for these applications. It's too much for my old brain!

6. I give up for tonight

I now freakin HATE Photobucket. I have a Fios connection and the Photobucket website takes what seems like a half hour to load. So many sites now have so much damned ad analytics that have to load it seems like my old 14.4 modem days on my Amiga. The link to my photo breaks for some damn reason. I used to use the same function in the past when you would click on the link for direct, it would copy it and I would then paste here on DU in a post and voila my photo would show. I'll try it again on Saturday morning after a night's sleep and some coffee

I have a Fios connection too, and my Photobucket doesn't take anywhere near that long to load.

I'm using Adblock Plus to block the ads, plus I give Photobucket a few dollars every year, so there aren't any ads. If you can do it, that might help you too.

8. Something is weird with photobucket

I am now not seeing either CalPeggy's or Solly Mack's photo--but I do see other entries that are photobucket links.

Earlier in the day I was seeing all the submissions.

Anybody else having the same problem?

12. PHOTOBUCKET IS STILL DOWN

As of 5:30 am EDT today 10/14.

People are leaving furious messages. One guy uses it to host his photos for his eBay business and says he has 30,000 ads not showing images.

Here's the photobucket statement posted yesterday:

Hello Photobucketeers! There is a known issue affecting several users and our website performance, and our engineering team is troubleshooting the problem. We will get this resolved as soon as we can!

If we need to hold submissions open for another day or two, we will. Let's hope they get the problem fixed today.

15. The links to photobucket submissions are now working...BUT

I'm not sure you can upload a new photo or get a link.

If you have a flickr account, I would suggest you use that.

But it seems PB is making progress on whatever their problems have been.

23. I may include more photos in finals

than I specified in the threads posted in GD.

When I set up threads I try to balance them by dividing what looks to me like winners--and that's very subjective--among the threads
so that one thread doesn't have runaway votes for a single photo and numerous photos are vying for votes in another thread.

What I'm saying is that I will take into account vote totals across the the two threads rather than arbitrarily limiting to top votes in each thread, when
deciding which photos are included in the finals.
