Blue Angels

A couple of weeks ago I drove into San Francisco on a Thursday afternoon to take some photos at Ft. Point, which sits at the mouth of the Golden Gate. I was taking photos of the bridge when this guy came barreling in from behind me:

Turns out that Fleet Week was starting on the coming weekend and the Navy's Blue Angels were getting in some practice, an event which has mixed reactions from The City's residents because of noise issues, primarily (it is super loud when they roar in overhead). Most of the show takes place over the bay, but some of the flight paths take them over the city. Anyway, the only lens I had with me was a short telephoto (55mm max) so the only relatively close shots I got were when they flew directly overhead.

I think you did wonderfully well.
The sixth photo from the top is my favorite! I love seeing them completely in line and curling over like that.
