(149,607 posts)Outstanding macro shots.
The colors and textures are amazing.
Thanks for sharing!

(60,071 posts)I love the Blue Nigella for the incredible seed pod.
I found sequential shooting upps the chances of nailing focus.

(60,071 posts)I'm doing ok, still having trouble swallowing food and I might need a dose increase on my Synthroid. I still feel like I am walking through jello. I might need to start using a cane for my balance.
How you doing, with your healing?

(90,764 posts)Be sure to get something dapper. I picture you that way.
I'm OK. Still on blood thinners for the clot. Will be until the end of May unless the side effects continue. Being monitored right now.
My jaw is still holding after surgery and but they won't put anchors in for another 6 months just to be sure.
I went the easier route until then. Not at all happy with it though.
Could be worse.

(60,071 posts)from cancer. I'm glad you are healing.
My cane is self made from some Bradford Pear that was destroyed by an ice storm.

(31,384 posts)I am using a cane on this trip. My knee is getting worse (already bone on bone) and I just couldn't
schedule the knee replacement surgery until after this trip; one in May for our youngest son's MFA graduation;
and a few days in June at the Spoleto Festival in Charleston. Plus, I had a cortisone shot in the knee before
we left on the trip which, after only a few days of pain relief, seemed to make my knee exponentially worse.
You can't have surgery for 3 months after one of those shots (worries about infection), so I'm going to be gimping
around on the knee--using the cane--until the surgery July 12th.

(60,071 posts)I will take a few of my cane later today. I'm just so tired all the time, Ia sign I will need some more synthroid.

(60,071 posts)I like working with green wood. It's much easier to whittle. You run the risk of it cracking, but I've been lucky.

(31,384 posts)What a beautiful piece of wood/work.
I ordered a cane for the trip that folds up. It's been very practical since it makes it easy to carry
when it's impossible to use a cane and drag luggage getting on/off trains.

I only do nature and still art photography, but if that's welcome I'd like to participate.
