I got a Phantom 3 Advanced drone.
Being a newbie these pictures I took at dusk came out real dark.
I used an app called Snapseed to lighten them.
I'm really enjoying this drone and see lots of photographic potential.

(15,805 posts)Very exciting to see the big panoramic vistas you captured.
Do you think the dark exposures saved you from blown highlights? If so, underexposing may be a good option. Can you shoot RAW with the drone camera? That would give you even more flexibility.
Not much room for improvement, though, I'd say. These photographs are gorgeous.

(28,136 posts)I did save both JPEG and RAW.
Now that I'm home I'll go to the PC and see what I can do with the RAW.
Looking forward to more from your eye in the sky.

At the time, late 1950's, my brother and I would get into serious discussion of how to do it.

(36,827 posts)However as a kid such things were the work of pure fantasy or at least so far out of reach to be unobtainable from a practical aspect. So I went another direction by learning to fly and taking a camera with me. So now I have no more ambition to get a flying camera, which is not to say the footage I've seen derived from such methods isn't impressive. I just have another way to do it.
