(22,378 posts)First they are beautiful, and show me big skies and flat lands I don't often see. Secondly I am loving the magnificence of the tree (both in color and b/w). And photo number 3 is my favorite for the ambience of showing the landscape / sky / land and the silos. I love that photo.

(25,750 posts)I often observe landscapes or such, and while I never photograph them, I'm highly appreciative, and I treasure various memories of such stuff.
Thank you again.

(31,320 posts)Glad to hear you are getting some rain. I've seen graphics indicating all of CA is experiencing drought and the rainy season is not producing rain. Very worrisome.

(19,459 posts)So far Northern California rainfall has been below average, and SoCal has been pretty much bone dry; that is predicted to change a bit this week. Hopefully, we'll get above average rains from now through spring.
We drove up I-80 from the Bay Area to Sun Valley, Idaho, over the Christmas holiday. That took us over the Sierras, across Nevada, and up into the Sawtooths. We didn't see much in the way of snowpack.
