The Great Blue eating the siren salamander was amazing - it took him a long time to kill it enough to swallow the whole thing. The heron tried about three times then would hack it back up and beat on it some more before it managed to get the huge thing all the way in.

Their roosting spot was right where the parking and picnic areas are and lots of people gathered to watch them.

Getting a good shot was a bit of a challenge - they were on a branch that was shaded by the palm tree so the lighting was not good.

Including turtles and alligators. "Humpy" is a famous one for that location - in January he crossed the road with lots of tourists there and made the news. They estimate he is 13-15 feet long. I'm just as happy to have seen him in the water. He is identifiable because of his deformed spine which gives him a big humped back.
