And the church with a serious flaw that has been visible forever and has never been solidly fixable


My traveling companion said this is what happens when the midieval custom of burying a live animal in the foundation was not followed. Who am I to argue with that?

I've always been drawn to the color used in so many of the old European buildings. The building in the first shot feels like it has some Turkish influence.

and it looks more like Art Nouveau to me than Deco. I'm a fan of both, tho.

BTW, another fascinating city, I think, is Barcelona. That city has more interesting architecture than about 50 other cities put together.
