10. I've gong lazy, growing cactus. They ask little of me.

11. I love the results but the work is getting to be much too much.

My bee balm needs year round attention if only to make sure their growing area is ready for the next season then once blooming, a lot of pruning and shaping to keep it contained.

My flowers are in a small area so I have to constantly work at keeping all the flowers happy.

My front flower beds are easy - water and deadheading. They die back during the winter and come back strong during the spring. It helps that I built an actual flower bed for them.

The back will get a flower bed after this season to make it easier on me.

I enjoy the gardening but my back - Oh, my back - doesn't.

12. My front garden is on a slope, that makes it tough for these old legs.

Vertigo makes gardening an adventure.

Now, I don’t want to be made over by concerned neighbors. I haven’t forgottened how to tuck and roll.

Tomorrow I will attempt to photograph the Gay Pride festival. It is supposed to get up to 93, so I am going early and leave early.

24. I also wear long pants not just for protection from the sun.

I wear long pants to slow me down. If I walk too fast, I overheat, so with long pants I have to slow down. It also lowers my risk of a fall.
