Local Southern Swamp. The biggest and most lily pads I've ever imagined.

I heard the swamp north of town had it’s lilies in bloom. I could not be kept at home. So here are a few photos I got this afternoon.

At other visits at that swamp the lilies were beautiful, but way more sparse, and much smaller.

I was all alone, did not even take Lola. She likes to jump into water and I had just a little bit of time to take the pictures.

At first I did not see the beauty in it being so huge, I remembered the old scenario which was different, and more photogenic. But I’m pleased with what I ended up with.

10. Wow! Very cool.

I just learned there is a giant field of sunflowers in bloom at one of the near by parks in Raleigh. Would like to go get some shots if I can figure out how to get there and park fairly close to the field.
