I always enjoy viewing Alfredo's photos, as I always learn something. And sometimes it's just a head-slap and "why didn't I think of that!"

It's difficult not to enter the contest as I truly like the theme! LOL! hahahahahahhaha!

5. He uses light to create depth, to bring out the layers of his subject.

I was trying to do the same. To show lines and paths.

I love the theme because it offers the opportunity to get better at photography and it's a necessary fundamental - lighting.

The right lighting gives life to even the most simple subject.

22. I'm just getting over it too. I think the vaccine made it milder than it should have been.

The cough and mucus is a big bother. I already had a problem with that from my C treatment. The flu just made it worse.

Are you suffering from the flu?

25. Yep. Food and I have been at odds. Hot tea here too. Also very hot milk with honey and nutmeg.

Helped to relax me before bed.

I hope someday I can return to my virtuous ways.

I just made Genfo, an Ethiopian version of Fufu. I made it with Barley and wheat flour. I then made a dipping sauce seasoned with BerBere. Polenta is a good substitute for the Genfo. She is speaking Amharic.

7. In spite of the fun kitty in the clouds moonlight photo

I captured the other night, I had to go with the blue hour light I caught on a visit to the island of Bonaire a couple of years ago. No filters. That's it. L'heure bleue as the French say. I don't think I've ever had another shot that captured that lighting. Well, actually I took quite a few shots, but this was the one I liked the best.

Right click on the photo and choose view image info and it comes up sized as 822 x 1024 which meets the size requirements.

I've stopped using imgur to post photos for the contest. Had trouble with it saying photos are resized, but they aren't. Plus, apparently, they now have the advanced editing portion of the website disabled due to some kind of problem. Maybe they've fixed the resizing?

then edited on my laptop and re-uploaded.

My wife and I went to France as part of a three week trip to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. I took over 700 photos, but haven’t processed most of them yet.
