1. I love the blanket of flowers, my dear Mira...

Hope indeed. Hope that the back of winter is broken and spring is indeed on its way...

Thank you!

3. What are those things?

LOL.

Right now we're under several feet of snow, complete with a blizzard warning. This is now the snowiest February on record here.

5. They're Crocus. They are one of the first blooms in the spring, even sometimes popping up through

the snow.

6. Yeah, I know. I have some. They're buried under three feet of snow.

But I won't see them for a couple more months - I was being snarky or something.

4. WOW! BEAUTIFUL!

Green from mine barely showing, may have drowned due to over-saturated yard.

9. Is that saffron?

It sure looks like it but it is coming up at the wrong time. Saffron usually blooms in the fall but with global warming it could be confusing the flowers.

But be ware, there is a crocus look alike to saffron that if eaten in quantities can be poisonous.

11. Crocus is my favourite early flower

More than snowdrops, more than daffs. Until the tulips start to bloom, these are IT.
