It never gets old - signs of spring in a vase on my kitchen table

The backlit early daffodils make me happy every year.

3. I just found my first Daffodil bud

It's growing right next to the south facing foundation. I am so impatient for Spring to take hold!

8. When I lived in PA where we had actual seasons

those and crocuses were the first flowers to pop out of the brown ground.

Thank you for commenting, it all so easily happens in my kitchen in the afternoon light. In that last one I think it may be the diagonal, and also the varying depth dimension..

13. All I did

is turn on b/w in the editing program built into my mac computer. Probably sharpened it a bit and played with light/dark til I liked the contrast.

14. In the black and white sliders, play around with the cast

There are plugins to enhance the editor. I use Tonality for my black and white. I also use GIMP for resizing and to do tweaks absent from Photos.
