Where are all the photographers?
Did everyone go on vacation this month?
Surely you have shots of places/spaces that have inspired you or caused you to marvel at the workmanship if man made or struck you with the beauty of the natural world? Any place that has taken your breath away? Any place that has made you appreciate the creativity and talent of humanity or made you wish you could spend more time there?
I was so hopeful that we'd fill this contest in less than 10 days. Please, look through your archives and see if you have something to submit!

(9,532 posts)I don't use sites some others use because there have been copyright infringement issues. But I do have a lot of good shots including some from a recent trip to France and Spain.

People use different hosting sites. Postimages.org is easy and doesn't require membership. Flickr and imgur are other popular sites that are easy to use. You can identify the site that is being used for any photo by right clicking on the photo and selecting view image info.
There is a thread here that explains how to post photos to DU.

175 pics gone, including some nice ones for this month's contest and more than a hundred from the Cleveland Autorama. I tried importing them and got a pop up that "something went wrong". It sure did. I'm upset.

(9,532 posts)I had it done once by a local camera shop. It wasn't cheap but worth it as I had many hundreds of photos. There were able to retrieve all but a handful of them.
Also it's possible your memory card slot on your computer failed and just needs to be replaced.
