The River
(2,615 posts)It's much more artistic than color.
Did you use a red or yellow filter or was it post filtered?
Richard D
(8,752 posts)Actually, a good bit of post processing in this. First step was HDR so the foreground would be visible.
Then converting it to black and white, upping the contrast, doing some Luminar 3 AI enhancements to the sky, and adding some sharpness.
The River
(2,615 posts)dodging and burning exposure times under a 1940's era enlarger
to get the same effect. All my skills are outdated.

(3,321 posts)Thank you, for sharing it. It is breathtaking. It has such a mesmerizing and feel of anticipation like a lull in activity, in the foreground.
The back ground is full of cosmic motion. Very nice.

(8,752 posts)Definitely the reason I got into photography was the "oh my God is that real how did he do that it's so amazingly beautiful" feeling I had at 14 when I first saw an Ansel Adams photo.
