Good news for Canon and Nikon shooters with legacy lenses who want to upgrade to the

New mirrorless bodies. The adapters offered to mount DSLR lenses to the new bodies work with no loss in functionality! AF is as fast and accurate as on a DSLR body.

It appears that the Canon adapters can add functionality with some lenses.

Can't find info on combining Ibis and ilis functionality but the ilis definitely carries over without issues.

Looks like some real thought went into minimizing loss of legacy lens use which is important considering how many camera bags are full DSLR lenses.

newer technology I think as the other advantages of Mirrorless, ie higher frame rates, ibis, full time live view and silent electronic shutter become obvious it will speed the adoption. Plus if you add one of these:https://www.ztop.com.br/gadget-dia-visor-olympus-dot-sight-ee-1/
sports and wildlife photography become much easier.

Can you imagine a Presidential news conference where you can actually hear the commentary over the mirror noise?

I’m not sure which adapter you are referring, but for Nikon’s own FTZ adapter there’s some significant loss of functionality on some of the older series of AF and manual lenses. The adapter lacks a AF motor, so the Nikon AF lenses without an internal AF motor are not going to autofocus. The adapter also lacks an aperture feeler, so older MF lenses that do not have an electronic connection for the aperture setting will have no way to tell the body what aperture is being used.
