Related: About this foruma couple more insect photos
These are two recent insect photos from the Humboldt State University teaching collection. I shot both of these with a Tokina AT X Pro D Macro 100mm f/2.8. The blister beetle photo had a Raynox 150 added to the macro lens.
Ulochaetes leoninus, the long horned lion beetle. Trinity Co. California, 2019.

Lytta nuttalli, Nuttall's blister beetle. McKenzie Co. North Dakota, 2003.

I hope you like them. Full resolution images are at https://mcamann.smugmug.com/Insect-macro-photography .

These are excellent macros. Full of details and great colors.
I can even see the mane on the first one, and I love the iridescent colors of the second one.
Thank you!
