I have scanned both threads from previous contests in an attempt to find something different.
First concept is a favorite of mine, and that is 'bokeh', the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light".
Next, 'frame/frames', could be trees framing a scene, picture frames, carpentry, or millions of other subjects
'Bodies of Water'
'Rain/Spring Showers'
'Fog'
'Coffee'
I set the time limit to 2 weeks, if it becomes apparent less time is needed, we can just go!

(9,685 posts)So you will be deciding the theme for the April contest as March is the seasonal one, and lucky old you I am hosting the April contest. I get very excited about it and market the shit out it!!! I will however also be on a cruise once I have announced the theme, and will open it up as soon as I get back so I may need you to do some promoting in my absence!!!! Well done on the win. Your photo was stunning!!!!! As I said on the announcement thread, my SO told me not to even bother entering cause you so had it in the bag!!
Oh and I love the framing idea. Big fan of it!

(31,371 posts)looking for shots that would qualify for the bokeh theme and I still have over 2 years of photos to look at! It's going to be a tough choice.
What a fun way to spend some time stuck at home!
