Ballet Foklórico

Ballet Folklórico Alma de México performing at Island Park, Springfield, OR on July 28, 2012. It's a local group for young dancers. Read about them in this newspaper article.

This one really needed color, so I temporarily set aside my B&W experimenting for today.

And that secret is: take 151 pictures and throw away the 150 bad ones. It's really that simple!

I can relate. Hanging in my office is one of my favorite photos. Everyone who sees it is very complimentary and says (I hate this phrase), "you must have a good camera."

Short story behind that photo? I took about 50 photos went home, uploaded and deleted them all. Went back took another 50-60 photos, went home and deleted them all. Went back again, took (oh gawd I don't know how many more photos) and finally got one I liked.

Here is the photo and the sculpture is called "Pre-Adrenalin." It sits atop a high (hey I'm short) pedestal which gave me another challenge to overcome.

I made four trips to a local park just to get one usable picture of the park cannon.
