I'm in Alexandria, Virginia. I have a coworker who went to [the big school in that town] and another who retired a few years ago. There's not a cloud in the sky. It's rare to see such a blue sky in the summer here.

Google's satellite views of that city are copyright 202, and yet the trees have the same amount of leaves as the trees in your pictures. Google's images must be only a few days old.

I'll let others have fun guessing.

At least I think it is. I think I recognize Woodburn Circle and the new (relatively speaking!) football stadium.

Your pictures don't go quite far enough north to see my old home(s) and grade school.

It never disturbed us at all! It's like having an electric car drive past your window - just a mild whisper.

I attended the University in the 1970s, and marched in that awesome marching band!

40-45 mph and all you hear is the woosh of the wind past the cockpit. You truly feel like a bird..
