Related: About this forumDid some flying today.
My friend has a 1974 Cessna 172 that she took me up in for a confidence flight. So here are some shots I took on my phone, shaking life a leaf as I was.

(57,378 posts)I'm in Alexandria, Virginia. I have a coworker who went to [the big school in that town] and another who retired a few years ago. There's not a cloud in the sky. It's rare to see such a blue sky in the summer here.
Google's satellite views of that city are copyright 202, and yet the trees have the same amount of leaves as the trees in your pictures. Google's images must be only a few days old.
I'll let others have fun guessing.

(6,251 posts)At least I think it is. I think I recognize Woodburn Circle and the new (relatively speaking!) football stadium.
Your pictures don't go quite far enough north to see my old home(s) and grade school.

(6,251 posts)It never disturbed us at all! It's like having an electric car drive past your window - just a mild whisper.
I attended the University in the 1970s, and marched in that awesome marching band!
