We have lantana too.

2. It's so hot on the balcony in the summer

that lantana is about the only thing that will last all summer!

The heat pump for the apartment is out there, and boy does it blow hot air when it's on!

3. I've never seen lantana. I don't think it grows here in chilly Zone 4,

but if it did I'd definitely want some.

5. Mine is in pots, as annuals.

It's too cold here for it to survive as a perennial.

7. Now I totally want some.

I don't think I've ever seen it at a garden center, though, even to grow in a pot. Will have to look again.

White Flower Farm in CT. Didn't want to browse the garden centers in my mask looking for it.

I think I'll put some Lantana in the back yard. It dies back to the roots in winter but comes back every spring. Butterflies love it.

12. It needs sun, which on my east facing balcony

it gets until around noon in the summer. It gets very hot out there--into the 90's-- much of July and August. Had lantana out there last year and it did well all through the summer.

And the first Lantana photo - it looks surreal, like one of the alien plants in the Avatar movie, you know what I mean? I never saw one before - very unique.
