(33,643 posts)It's not 'hills', it's a very famous and large landmark you've definitely seen pictures of.
And there's no ice. But there's snow on the landmark

(4,119 posts)Seems the world is tired of being holed up. It was good to be out again but a little worrying. Would rather be home but can use the money.
Didnt realize youd taken the photo - excellent! Yosemite is a place I dream of visiting someday.

Actually I didn't ... I got out the car, whipped out my 5 year old Samsung S5 phone, hit 'Camera', then hit click ... and this is exactly what came of it.
Honestly you hit the Valley on a day that's this perfect, you need zero photography skills to take beautiful pictures.
Basically the job is already done for you.

(32,017 posts)I love the reflection in the lake, and the picture captures some premium color. Theres a thumb (bottom right) and forefinger (bottom left) shadow in the picture as welladding subconscious human interest. Well done!

But I realized it was Half Dome and was up to that point unaware that they were two different structures, I've never been there.
