and crowd weeds out. I have to trim around the "beds" of daylilies but don't have to pull weeds out.

I have Tiger Lilies (unverified source-neighbor speak) growing that look just like your Day Lilies.
Same property of keeping weeds at bay. I love their blooms every year. I lucked out, since they sprouted randomly and are beautiful. Thanks for the post! 🌸

On edit: now I know my favorite low maintenance wild flowers are called Day Lilies. Thank you!
