Borah Peak (highest point in Idaho) - Lost River Range

The fence is along the Lost River fault line, at the point of the devastating earthquake of October 28, 1983.

a year. Such beautiful country. A year or two ago we were in WY on vacation and got to enjoy the scenery again.

I didn't climb it but I looked at it for years while I lived at that end of the Snake River Plain.

It's a short 3.5 miles from trailhead to summit, you just gain a mile in elevation.

I've only seen shots on the snow covered peaks where you can't see any of that. You must've climbed during the summer with no snow.

The best time to climb Borah is late July and early August. There was snow but not at the summit. Some summits are rocky, some are dirt. This is Pikes Peak vs. Mt Antero (both 14ers in CO)
