Mexican Marigold is a culinary plant. It is a great substitute for French Tarragon and is much easier to grow. A perennial it freezes back and re-grows every spring. It makes these tiny golden flowers every fall.

(14,559 posts)5. It's pretty durable. Drought resistant but not drought proof
and when dormant will survive pretty hard freezes in the ground. If it is containerized you'll need to bring it into the garage and water it once a month.
