Revisiting Shadows on my dogwalk today

Had my cellphone with me.

The Gingko has fallen. I only learned a few years back that the Gingko tree loses its leaves in one fail drop, usually all of them within a day or two

The Ginkgo must think like this: OK, get ready to drop, leaves! Ready, set, drop! and there they are, on the ground, ready for sweeping up.

and we were riding thru a patch of tall skinny trees with no leaves.. The shadows projected on to the road looked like bar codes. Way cool looking. Of course I did not have my camera out and was not about to take a pic whilst riding.. I've been looking for that shot again for years...

It was spectacular when the leaves turned color. And then one morning you'd get up and they were all on the ground!

Thanks for reviving that memory.
