My SO got these while I was at work yesterday. I'm so jealous I missed it! There are a couple more good ones I will post later, after I have a chance to get them uploaded.
If you look at the far right in the water you will see the beaver...lurking.

This really is an extraordinary series that cries out to be made into a childrens book. I can imagine the opening line: The young beaver knew he had to report what he witnessed: the predators were forming interspecies alliances.

We've seen all of these creatures separately just in the last week. But to see them together was just amazing for my SO!

(8,806 posts)is probably about 40lbs and the strength of it's tail could probably knock the other two silly.............

(126 posts)Near as I could tell looking at the series of pictures.
The fox was too small to take either of the others, and both the fox and beaver were too big for the eagle. They all were just curious about the other. Maybe the beaver was a little concerned, but was also in the safest position once it was in the water.

(61,588 posts)Maybe the fox was thinking about stealing a catch from the eagle, and the beaver told them to take it someplace else. In the second photo I think that splash is the beaver's tail hitting the water. Notice it startled the fox off the ice.

(3,320 posts)The beaver is right there, you can see the top portion of his head sticking just above the surface of the water. I saw his ear first, then his eye and nose. Very cool, thanks for posting.

(1,517 posts)I kept not looking at this because I thought it was the beginning of some kind of strange wildlife joke using wildlife as political metaphors.
Finally looked at it and these are some incredible shots that people rarely can get. Awesome.
Wow.
