Related: About this forumok....gladiator frog was on my window so we did another session
i made some adjustments to the lighting setup and i made some adjustments in post. i think the white balance is more accurate. the wall behind the setup has a very slight blue tint, though it's really subtle.....it's not subtle in this shot and i kind of like the blue sky effect

(9,859 posts)it really doesn't take long to set the lights and camera up...at most a couple minutes....and then i always do a couple test shots to make sure no ambient light gets into the exposure and it's all from the speedlights. the most time consuming part is trying to get the frog to sit still for a couple seconds in a position that looks good. but i've developed a technique for that.

(1,233 posts)I love tree frogs, and this one is a beauty! The blue background really brings out the lighter details- like those awesome lines in his eyes.
May I have your permission to put this in my screensaver/background rotation?

(9,859 posts)i'm not sure it's breath-taking, but it's OK for a hack.
yes, you certainly can use it for your screen saver.

I have never seen one, and I love love love frogs. I collect pics of them. I have one that's an orator frog, perfect for me because I'm a speech teacher!
Love this pic. Fabulous job!
