This scenery is part of the Grand Staircase which starts with the Grand Canyon and progresses in steps to Bryce Canyon.

You must have spend many nights camping out in remote locations given the volume of your work scattered all over the american southwest.

It was years ago, but I think my kids and I drove to the top of the overlook, or else the Grand Staircase Escalante. We'd just stayed at both the northern and southern ends of the Grand Canyon, later drove past the fabulous rock formations in that area (Mexican Hat?); anyway, the whole Four Corners area is beautiful.

I’ve hiked the Buckskin Gulch/Paria Canyon trail to the Colorado River at Lee’s Ferry area. One of the most epic hikes I’ve done. Supposedly, the longest slot canyon in the world. Buckskin is amazing!

We got in before the permitting and the crowds started.

I miss my canyoneering days, hope to get back out there and in them soon!

Thanks for sparking some great memories!

OK, not really mountains there, but that's what came to mind immediately. Anyway, beautiful pic.
