and found this among the thousand or so Tri X B&W negatives. Sparked it up a bit with some selective colorizing.

(3,155 posts)I loved shooting with Tri-X. I bulk rolled it in the 60s & 70s, and printed proof sheets. I got the cost down to a penny a frame.
Oh, and great shot!

(14,559 posts)I even mastered a version of the Ansel Adams zone system using multiple rolls of film at different ISOs and developing them accordingly. Like you (and everybody serious about shooting B&W in the day) I bulk loaded.

About Tri-X... I met my wife when I was dropping off a roll of Tri-X at her family's custom B&W photolab in 1983. We just celebrated our 36th wedding anniveesary!

My aunt dug up the picture as she didn't like grandma being so critical of the kids.
But yes those were the days, I guess the guys liked it too.
