I remember working on placing the color in my head. To this day, I feel better overcoming challenges to reality. Did you shoot in RAW? Torn between capturing the image as truth, to the image as art. Nice juxtaposition.

I don’t even waste card space with JPEG sidecars. But then, I really enjoy post processing.

I love the lushness of the colors and the nuances.

I guess we still can't convey the real imagery through a camera lens, no matter the color depth. They eye/brain are remarkably adaptable to fleshing(?) out the colors and giving a living representation. Cameras are getting a lot better too (HDR?).

same sand bank with a landed paddler in early March of 2017






also the same view taken with a shitty tourist camera (also wind and dust blowing about 40 MPH)

On the curved lower beam of the main bridge substructure, halfway between midpoint and the far side of the river is a speck that is a condor. I’ll post some closer shots in a day or two.
