How to find and hire a photographer?

I'm wondering how to find a photographer to photograph pictures of objects found around my parent's home.

Purpose...to share with family members, relatives, charitable organizations, auction houses etc..

I can do point and shoot but this particular task needs someone who really understands how to photograph objects.

Thanks in advance.

I'm in South Florida.

what size are the objects you need photographed and how many are there?
will the photographer photograph them in the place they are or will they be able to set up a mini studio in the house with pro lighting and photograph each object there instead?
what kind of a budget do you have for this?

i imagine it wouldn't be hard to find someone. a pro will not be cheap, although, due to covid, they probably won't be as expensive as they normally are. also, there might be an art school nearby where you can find a student to do the work for cheap. first you need to figure out your expectations (do you want commercial product photography quality, fine art still life style or are you just looking for something a bit better than snapshots?) and what you have to spend.

a google search for photographers in the area will allow you to look at portfolios of nearby professionals. where in south florida are you (i used to live in cutler ridge)?

here's a guy in south florida (i watched some of his youtube videos the other day) who might be able to give you an idea of what he would charge:

he's done some product work:

that's a start....i'm sure there are lots of shooters in your area that range from hobbyist to pro and who would be interested in doing the work.
