I see that the reservoir wasn't completed until after my stint in the Austin/Georgetown corridor.

I had to look it up. Sure enough, it's a reservoir lake there just one town over from Austin built in 2005-2006 well after I'd moved to a county south of Austin. I'm glad to know about it.

Texas has a number of lakes, almost all man-made. We have exactly one natural lake, Lake Caddo in East Texas. I just hadn't realized new lakes were still being constructed.
