(149,748 posts)It was being tuned, so of course it was open, and I was struck by its beauty.

(11,890 posts)I took lessons when I was a kid and never took to it, but was happy later, when I got into vocal music- that I could read music.

(115,923 posts)I have an upright that's gone badly out of tune. Now that I've been vaccinated I can finally get a (vaccinated) piano tuner to come in and take care of it because right now it's painful to listen to. Piano engineering is really interesting.

(149,748 posts)It's really my husband's piano. It was a gift from his mom many years ago.
He's been very happy with it.
They sure do need tuning! Ours gets tuned twice a year whether he's played a lot or not. It always sounds great to my ears.

(2,041 posts)I started lessons when I was in first grade and studied until I graduated college. Loved to play, but the arthritis in my fingers has slowed me way down in that area.
Thanks for the beautiful photo!

When I saw how beautiful the piano is, I knew I had to take a photo!
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
