This is one of my 'SUPRISE!!!' flowers that appeared in the middle of a garlic patch

(Cross post from Gardening)

I'm hoping I can remember to transplant it to a more visible garden.

And I suspect that you will remember to transplant it into a more prominent place, since you've been thinking about it a lot today!

I've got plenty of paler pink ones, and even one purple, but the color of this one is pretty special.

I've been transplanting some from 'inconvenient' spots to a garden I hope to turn into a dedicated garlic bed. In other places I'm thinning out the scrawny stuff but leaving the 'robust' ones where they are. A few years back I had one plant that produced a head the size of a billiard ball.

From what I'm seeing, this looks to be a pretty good garlic season.

If of thy earthly goods thou art bereft
And of thy stores two loaves are left
Sell one, and with the dole
Buy Hyacinths, to feed thy soul

I'm hoping the Tulips and Narcissus open soon. Then I'll have all of my Spring favorites, at one time.
