Just mix in some birdsongs and you're in the scene.
Thank You!

(11,498 posts)He was mine too! I chose George McGovern for my username because I voted wholeheartedly for him. Broke my heart when he lost. I consider Mr. McGovern the greatest president who never was.

(11,498 posts)We live about twenty miles outside the city of Ellensburg in Washington State, with thirteen acres on which we board retired horses. Comet and Fizz are two of them.
GREAT SONG! My aunt has had a crush on Roy for years and years and years. She was jealous of Dale Evans.

(7,893 posts)I loved Roy Rodgers too. he stayed handsome all the way to the end. Such twinkly eyes.
I lived in Washington in the 1980s and remember passing through Ellensburg many times. Mostly I remember the wind! Beautiful country. I'd have to shave my head if I lived there.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful pics.

(11,498 posts)Guess it's a good thing you don't live in Ellensburg. You can keep your hair!
You are welcome for the sharing. I don't copywrite my photos. If you see any you like please feel free to download.

(11,498 posts)When we married, my wife and I decided she would board retired horses and I could get a camera. It's worked out okay.
Do you like to take pictures?

(12,890 posts)So beautiful, a perfect remembrance of the beauty of our country, mere months before it was turned upside down and assaulted the coming years ahead.
More of those moments ahead, of what is important to us all. Well, snowflake libs anyway.
Again, thanks for sharing.

(11,498 posts)Yes, fall of 2016 who knew what was coming? I remember being outraged and amazed and quite alarmed that trump would be president. Just could not believe it. But seeing was agonizingly believing.
I thank you for seeing this picture as you do. This snowflake lib is looking forward to more of those moments too! A neighbor down the road nailed up a sign on his mini-windmill when trump was "elected" it said "RESIST."
When Joe Biden became president he took the sign down.

(12,890 posts)You capture the beauty so well. This old salty sailer loved this red sky in the morning. Maybe it was, as the saying goes, a warning. Keep sharing your talent with us. We all need to see the beauty around us, especially amongst the ugliness served us daily in news.
George McGovern
(11,498 posts)That is precisely why I take pictures to share, like you say, "the beauty around us."
I have never been sailing. Sounds like you have?

(12,890 posts)I wish there was a channel like the dog calming one, that just ran a 24/7 loop of Americas real stunning beauty captured by artists like yourself with beautiful music accompanying the slide show. I tend to have TV on mostly for background sounds, Living alone with my Labrador. Even tuning into Free Speech TV and MSNBC there is none stop ugly America and hate. We need to see what we are fighting for to save America. The natural America, not the selfish people dwelling in it.
Cheers to you. But for for now, I will savor your visions and others that are frequently posted here, and live that same beauty right here in the Mountains of NC.
