(67,782 posts)Not nearly as good a picture as yours. Grabbed my phone and took a couple of pictures. By the time I got to zoom in she ducked through the trees on the right.

(12,182 posts)We don't live in a metropolis, or even a big city, but it is a town of a little over 400,000. I live in a totally residential neighbourhood of single-family houses, except for some apartments and condos on the main streets at the edges.
It's not at all uncommon to see a single deer, or a doe and fawn wandering around, and there is evidence of them everywhere. It's annoying to put time and money into one's gardens and find your plants eaten to the ground.
One morning, I saw a small herd walking up the street that my street intersects with - a couple of fawns, a buck or two and a couple of does. About 8 in total.
