Best thing about the sky's colors was that they were natural. There was no wildfire smoke mixed in.
Plus the picture was a good test of my new telephoto zoom.

15. Wish I was somewhere to get a sunset shot tonight

Our was red and getting redder with each minute, just not good shot from the house.

Where I grew up in Connecticut the only views of the sky were straight up, between the trees.

Could you maybe walk or drive to an open spot for a sunset shot? Then again you've probably thought of that . . .

17. We have some great spots for some fantastic sunsets

It just by the time you realize it's going to be a great sunset, driving to those spots is too late. We still catch some incredible sunsets when we can get out to the Island. (Hilton Head).
Get some great sunrises as well.
